06/02/02 Painful, but lovely June days out. Getting much hotter these days, the air conditioner feels good when you come in from walking. Had Robin and Marty out planting my tomato and bell pepper plants in pots for me today. Thanks so much! They even got my moss roses planted, they are already starting to bloom! Had one zinnia survive the heat, it's planted in with moss roses and touch-me-nots. Marty is off with his big sister, Ray for fun adventures. Darlin' and I got to go over to Robin's house this evening for a nice swim in the big pool, the view of the sun setting was lovely. She made an excellent spaghetti supper and then we went on down to the look out and they are having fireworks on the strip tonight. So nice to be able to go for a short ride and spend time with my family. Thanks, children for a GREAT day! We sure did enjoy it all! 06/12/02 Beware of the Mid-Missouri flu bug! It's has struck us all! Terrible cough, aches, pains, just feel like crap! Seems all our friends and neighbors have it, too. My longest back way travel is to go walking out in the yard. So thankful to be able to do that! My goodness, it sure is different than traveling all over. Hope you and your family stay well! 06/16/02 Happy Father's Day Darlin'!! Had sent my Dad, Buck Witcher, down in Statham Georgia, a Father's Day card earlier this week! Hope he has a GREAT day! Marty got out early cutting up hickory poles into chunks for the bbq, he now has the fire going and food out cooking, smells so good every time we open the door! All our children are here: Ray, Dave and Sarah, Jesse, Marty, Robin and Brian and even his daughter, Briana. We had 3 Dad's here today! We had a GREAT day! Darlin' got lots of goodies, hummingbird feeder, oil for tiki lamp, candles, even tickets to go see the Lee Mace Opry. I must say, we had a fabulous time at the show! Thanks, children! Love you all madly! Even have Sarah saying that now, too! 06/20/02 Happy Bobmas! Yes, Brother Bob, you are in the back way, too! Hope you have a GREAT 31st birthday! Thanks for being such a GREAT friend! You are truly a brother! In 1999, L Ray was in the back way on his birthday, this year it's your turn! 06/24/02 Happy 2nd Birthday to our wonderful Granddaughter, Sarah Nicole! We are truly blessed to have you in our lives! You have grown so much and have a wonderful sense of humor! We look forward to many years of traveling the back way with you! All our love to you, from Grampy and Grandma! |
